Biography

Elbow are the Nationwide Mercury Prize 2008 winning alternative rock band based in England. The band formed in the English town of Bury, Greater Manchester whilst at sixth-form college during 1990, and currently comprises: Guy Garvey - lead vocalist, guitarist and lyricist, Pete Turner - bassist and keyboardist also co-writer of lyrics Craig Potter - keyboardist and backing vocalist, Mark Potter - guitarist and backing vocalist, Richard Jupp - drummer. Over the band's 18 year career they have released four studio albums, four EPs and ten top fifty singles in the UK.
